About
Harry Charles is a musician, producer, and live electronic artist with over a decade of experience spanning guitar, songwriting, and electronic production. After finding his footing as an artist in the New Zealand music scene, Harry moved to Berlin in 2014, where he spent years performing as both a solo artist and session musician. His Berlin years produced a string of releases, including his debut album In The Light Of The Open Door and EPs One Seven One and On Film & In Life, on labels including Serafin Audio Imprint, Klassified Records, and Underyourskin Records. It was in Berlin that he evolved from songwriter into a fully-fledged producer, developing a sound rooted in downtempo, organic house, and live instrumentation.

Now based back in Aotearoa, Harry released his sophomore album Movement in 2025 on Loop Electronic, signalling an exciting new chapter in his career. A 10-track body of work incorporating sounds of downtempo, electronic and organic house alongside more intimate songwriting and ambient compositions, the album moves seamlessly between worlds with live guitar and vocals woven throughout. Described as "a quiet master craftsman in the world of electronic music," Movement established Harry as one of New Zealand's most distinctive voices in electronic music.
His follow-up album Nova marks a new direction. Written in the months immediately after Movement, the record was conceived specifically for the festival stage, tighter, more direct, and built for dancefloors without sacrificing the warmth and emotion that define his sound. Melodic, euphoric, and alive, Nova is Harry's most immediate and kinetic work to date.
